Monday 30th September the HOLLANDSE MEESTERS HER-ZIEN exhibition can be seen in the Amsterdam Museum wing of the Hermitage. The exhibition by curator Jörgen Tjon a Fong of Urban Myth is a temporary addition to the permanent exhibition “Group portraits of the 17th century” (formerly “Dutchmen of the Golden Age”) of the Amsterdam Museum in the Hermitage. Hollandse Meesters Her-Zien shows thirteen portraits of well-known Dutch people of color in the large room, posing as a historical person of color who, based on research, is known to have lived in the Netherlands in the 17th and 18th centuries.
